THE BEAUTY OF THE BEAUTIFUL GATE.

When you read about the story of the man at the beautiful gate, how he was healed, the faith that was involved, the glory that the miracle brought to the Lord, the souls that got saved by the miracle, how that money is useless in the face of some challenges…,

There’s yet another thing that this encounter reveals to us.

And that secret is that despite our togetherness in the work of God, we have individual areas of manifestations of God’s glory. Our callings are different (Ephesians 4:11-14)

These areas differ even between two pastors or between a pastor and an apostle etc.

The apostles were praying together and the Holy Spirit said, “Separate Paul and Barnabas for the work I have for them” (Acts 13:2).
For these two, their tasks were to the Gentiles but others were to the Jews.

Do you know the location of your calling?

Again, Peters’s shadow could heal the sick, cast out devils etc( Acts 5:15-16), but Paul’s handkerchief was doing the same(Acts 19:12)

Therefore, you don’t have to copy other pastors for the Holy Spirit uses us as He pleases.

So, the apostles were travelling from one place to another by any available means of transportation. But for Phillip, his mode of transportation was Spirit-portation (Acts 8:39)
What science would call teleportation. This minute he was here, the next second, the Holy Spirit whisked him to another location.

So, Peter said,” Such that I have…” I don’t know what my colleague here have for you (Acts 3:2). But I give you mine. Rise and walk! In verse 4, he said, “Look on us”. That would make you think that the miracle was coming from both of them. But in verse 6, he personalized his comments, “I don’t have money, but what I have, I give thee.” Now, I don’t know if John has money but I give you what I have.

And then John gave us the great book of Revelations.
All the apostles died, they were all martyred. But this one, John, refused to die because he has not given us what he has for us.

The lesson:
Do not mimic any man of God. Do not try to work like any pastor. Release yourself; loose yourself; make yourself a puppet in the hands of the Holy Spirit and you will marvel at the great manifestations of the glory He has deposited in you.

May you encounter one, in the order of the beautiful gate, that you may discover your individual Holy Spirit-given potentials and begin to manifest them in Jesus Christ name. Amen.

God bless you.
